Frequently Asked Questions

I've never been to Fayetteville Motor Speedway before.

If you have never been to Fayetteville Motor Speedway or to a race track, Click Here and visit the I'm New to Racing page for quick links to guide you through the basics of coming to the track.

I’m not a race fan. Will I enjoy the races?

If you enjoy being outside on summer nights or socializing with friends you will enjoy race nights at FMS. You don't need to know anything about racing. It's fun for everyone in your group to pick a car they think will win and see who guessed correctly.

What time does the entertainment end?

The races usually end around 11:15-11:45pm. Feel free to leave at a convenient time for your family.

What should I bring to enjoy the races?

It's usually hot even into the night during the summer, but in the fall, winter and spring the nights will be cool. Dress to be comfortable in the day, but bring hoodies and blankets for those cooler nights. Bring your sunglasses and consider earplugs (our merchandise trailer usually has earplugs available for purchase if you forget yours).

How do I purchase admission into the grandstands?

Grandstand admission can be purchased 1 way.
1) Purchase admission into the races at the Ticket Booth located at the entrance into the grandstands. (No actual ticket, but a wrist band will be put on your wrist).

How do I purchase admission into the pits?

Pit admission can be purchase 1 way.
1) Pit admission (adults & kids) may be purchased at the Pit Booth on race night. (No physical ticket, you'll receive a wristband.)

2) Parents of minors must sign a waiver specifically for the child(children). If only one parent is available to sign, then a new waiver will need to be signed each event. If both parents sign the waiver, then the waiver is good for the year.

Can grandstand admission be upgraded to a pit pass

Yes. If you paid the grandstand admission, but decide to upgrade to pit admission, then simply go to the pit gate. The staff will take your grandstand admission wristband, give you credit toward pit admission, you will need to pay the difference in cost, sign the pit entry waiver and then the staff will put a pit admission wristband on you and you may then enter the pits.

Do you accept Credit Cards?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover and there is a $5 minimum purchase. Credit card sales do slow down the admission lines, cash is preferred. Credit cards are taken at the Pit Booth, Grandstand Booth, Merchandise Trailer, Driver Registration and at Concessions as well.

How much is event parking?

Parking is always FREE!

Can I bring food and alcoholic beverages to FMS?

Yes. Coolers are welcome (NO GLASS). Coolers must be small personal sized, holding 4-6 drinks. NO LARGE COOLERS.
• Alcohol is not allowed in the pits until the races are finished.
• Concessions is available for purchase in both the grandstands and the pits.
• Alcoholic beverages are not currently sold at the track.

What is available for purchase at FMS?

Concession food & beverages. Our merchandise trailer sales various items including FMS logo wear.

What type of seating is available?

Grandstands are a large concrete structure shared by general admission fans and pit admission patrons as well.. You are welcome to bring a stadium seat to use. Stadium seats must not recline further than 90 degrees and take up leg room of the person behind during large events when seating is limited. You may also use lawn chairs, however you may not block the view of others sitting behind you, please be conscious of this when choosing your seats.

Can we save seats?

Fans who would like a particular seat usually come in as soon as either the pit gate or general admission gate opens. FMS does not enforce saved seating.

Do the grandstands have handrails?

Not currently. As we continue to upgrade the facility since becoming promoters of the track, installing handrails are one of the upgrades we will be making.

Is FMS handicap accessible?

We have a wheelchair area at the top of the grandstand, but there is also a large walking area at the top of the grandstands that is paved, so room for wheelchairs across the top as well. If you need assistance getting to the grandstand just let the staff at the admission booth know and we can get staff to help you as well

What type of bathrooms are at FMS?

Portable restrooms are located in the pit area and at the top of the grandstands. We also have a restroom building located at the general admission gate.

I'm not a race car driver. Can I enter the pits?

Yes. Anyone who has not been drinking may enter the pits by paying the adult admission and signing the liability waver.

Where can I find race results?

The race results are on the myracepass.com website. This is the scoring system we use. We will post results on our website and Facebook page as well.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are allowed, but must remain on leash AT ALL TIMES.

Can I bring my camper or tent and stay overnight?

Camper parking is always free with current admission. Campers are not allowed in pits during race hours, which is from the time the pit entrance opens to the end of the racing. The camper can be set up in the large field that is our overflow parking area. If you are with a race team, you may move the camper into the pit after the race, but with a multiple day event the camper must be moved back out the next day by the time the pits reopen for that day of racing. There are no hookups for water or electricity currently.

How do I purchase photos from a race?

We have 2 local photographers come to the track frequently. We will post pictures that are available for purchase from the photographer on website and Facebook page

Do you have a Kids Club?

We will be starting a Kids Club in the 2021 season.
