Fayetteville, NC – At the beginning of 2020 Fayetteville Motor Speedway(FMS) will be under new management for the first time in 5 years.

Dave Mitchell a long time racer/car owner as well as the owner of XXX Racing Services, and his brother Dan Stewart a Wilmington business owner will take over promotion of the historic dirt track located in eastern North Carolina. “We couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to keep local racing alive in the community and bring a form of entertainment that folks might not actually know is located right in their backyard.” said Mitchell. Built in 1968 FMS was originally an asphalt track however it was eventually switched over to a dirt oval. Over the years many local, regional, and national drivers have battled on the 4/10 mile clay oval with some races topping $25,000 to win.
